Leadership Team
Lothar Osiander, Chairman Lothar, a veteran
soccer coach, served as the Head Coach for the U.S. Men's Olympic Soccer Team
in 1988 (South Korea) and in 1992 (Barcelona), led the Atlanta Ruckus
(A-League), where he was named Coach of the Year in 1995, and the MLS Angeles
Galaxy (1996) to national finals, was a six time coach for the U.S. Olympic
Sports Festival soccer teams, head coach for the San Jose Earthquakes,
Assistant Coach for the Tampa Bay Mutiny and head coach for the 1991 gold
medallist Pan American Games soccer team where the squad captured the gold
medal. A long-time resident of the Bay Area, Lothar played for the University
of San Francisco's 1966 NCAA national champion soccer team. He currently
coaches the Bay Area's legendary Greek Americans Men's Amateur Soccer Team,
which won the national title in 1985 and 1994, and the U-17 Ballistic Boys
team, which won the 2003 State Cup (as U-16's). He also serves as a US Soccer
Federation national coaching instructor. Lothar is fluent in English, German
and Spanish.
Emily
Ballus, Founder and President Emily, an event organizer who has
produced a number of national and internationally sanctioned soccer events over
the last 17 years. Prior to launching MOJO Sports Event Solutions, LLC, Emily
held senior posts at some of the most successful soccer events produced in the
U.S., including Director of Marketing Programs for the 1999 FIFA Women's World
Cup, Director of Game and Player Operations for Major League Soccer (MLS),
Director of Operations for the A-League, local organizing committee director
for Copa Libertadores Group V, an internationally sanctioned South American
professional soccer tournament and Executive Director of Ticket Sales and
Marketing for the San Jose CyberRays. She developed the inaugural MLS Celebrity
Skills Challenge, a made-for-TV contest held in conjunction with the annual MLS
All-Star Game, and currently produces the Silicon Valley Football Classic, an
NCAA college bowl game, and Street Soccer Cup USA - Greater Bay Area, a
national 4 v 4 soccer tournament. |
